The world of Fargo-Moorhead is a photographic display of the diversity in our community. This display has previously been featured in galleries around the Fargo-Moorhead area and now it is displayed in the New American Center for Wellness and Empowerment.
“[We] feel that it was important to have more images of the people we have served in the past to create a more welcoming environment for our clients,” Ibtissem Belmihoub said, “when people walk in, we want them to see the diversity of Fargo in our space,”
Fargo is continuing to grow and with its growth comes more diversity. Here at the WE Center, we believe in helping create bridges between communities and we felt the best way to resemble that community connection is by displaying these works in our community space.
Artist Meg Luther Lindholm has photographed many of the works displayed and stated that one of her inspirations for these images was her move from New York City to Fargo, where she learned that you do not have to live in the big city to see diversity in your community.
We encourage people to come in to see our new display!
